The Pacers beat the cold out of town on Thursday when they traveled to Miami where they will now try to beat the Heat when the two teams meet on Friday night.
The Pacers are in search of a winning formula after dropping their last two games. Both losses were to quality opponents in Houston and Philadelphia, but the games exposed issues with the offensive attack that has slowed down to Victor Oladipo with a splash of Domas Sabonis and not much else.
The Pacers remain healthy while the Heat (5-5), coming off a wins over the Spurs and Pistons in their last two games, will be missing both Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade. Dragic sat out the win over the Spurs with a right knee strain. MRI results were negative which was a positive for the Heat, but the pesky point guard is not expected to play against the Pacers.
As for D-Wade, he is a new father as he and his wife, Gabrielle Union had a baby girl on Wednesday.
On the court, the Pacers will have to contend with big man Hassan Whiteside coming off a 29-point, 20-rebound game against the Spurs. Wayne Ellington also took advantage of extra minutes by draining six threes. Sounds like a great game for the Pacers depth to rise up and make its presence felt.
