Spurs vs. Pacers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers look to win their fourth straight game over the Spurs for the first time since 1990.

NBA: Indiana Pacers at San Antonio Spurs Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers host the San Antonio Spurs for their annual visit to the Fieldhouse with a chance to extend and improbable win streak.

Last season, the Pacers swept the season series against the Spurs for the first time since 1995 and after already beating the Spurs in San Antonio this season, have a chance to sweep the series again, pushing the winning streak to four games.

The Pacers were in this same position in 1996 after winning the first matchup at home, but failed to convert the sweep when they lost 100-88 in San Antonio on an off shooting night for Reggie Miller, while David Robinson logged 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Yes...THAT WAS OVER 20 YEARS AGO! The Pacers didn’t get it done that night so the win tonight would be the first four-game win streak over the Spurs since 1990 when they won the first matchup of the season to push the winning streak to eight games, spanning back to December of 1985.

Sure the Spurs are in a transition year but who cares? The Pacers have their own injury issue with Victor Oldadipo out for the third consecutive game and both Myles Turner and Domas Sabonis nursing tender ankles.

The Pacers know all too well what DeMar DeRozan brings to the table and LaMarcus Aldridge is going to be a problem, even more if the Pacers’ front court is thin.

The Pacers need to take advantage of their home court since they play their next four on the road against Western Conference foes.

Tip time is at 8 p.m. ET as is tradition on the Friday following Thanksgiving to allow time for the lighting of the Circle. Since it is official: Happy Holidays to all!
