The Pacers make their only trip to Charlotte on Wednesday to play the Hornets in the first of three games between the teams this season.
The Hornets have been up and down so far this season which has them with an even 8-8 record, yet to lose or win more than two games in a row. Slowing down the Hornets begins with keeping tabs on Kemba Walker who currently leads the league in scoring at over 29 points per game.
With Victor Oladipo unable to go, the Pacers will need another monster effort from their backcourt group since the Hornets rely on guard play so heavily. The next three leading scorers for Charlotte after Walker are also guards with Tony Parker and Malik Monk combining for about 20 points per game off the bench.
Former IU/Washington legend, Cody Zeller is manning the middle for Charlotte, while the Pacers may be without Myles Turner. Domas Sabonis stepping up to fill the starting role won’t be a problem and Kyle O’Quinn has been quite good in relief reserve appearances all year.
