The Pacers tip off preseason play against the Rockets on Thursday night.

NBA: Indiana Pacers at Houston Rockets Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers are the last NBA team to play a preseason game which they will do on Thursday evening when they visit the Houston Rockets.

The Rockets are considered the second or third best team in the league depending on your affinity for the Celtics and are in the midst of incorporating Carmelo Anthony into their already lethal offensive lineup. The Rockets pumped in 131 points in their first preseason game, with 46 of their 78 field goal attempts from behind the arc.

The Pacers are working toward increasing their 3-point attempts this year but anything approaching 30 3PAs would be an improvement.

Thad Young will be out with a foot injury for the Pacers. Clint Capela is also dealing with a foot issue and is doubtful. Offseason acquisition, Marquese Chriss would likely slide into the starting slot if Capela does not go.

Also, keep an eye out for local legends, Eric Gordon (North Central/IU) and Vince Edwards (Purdue) off the bench for Houston.
