The Pacers host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night for their annual visit to the Fieldhouse.
The Blazers are kind of a the Western Conference sister squad to the Pacers, lead by some dynamic talents in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum while also being capable of logging impressive wins and beating any team on the right night. Yet, they are afterthoughts among other playoff contenders and don’t have the depth to get over the hump. Both teams are underrated but struggle to prove it!
The Blazers handled the Pacers relatively easily last year, doling out a pair of double-digit losses. The loss at home last year was the second game of the year, prior to the Pacers developing into the team they became later in the season. No such excuses this year.
This game will be the third of four road games for the Blazers after they split a pair of games in Orlando (win) and Miami (loss). Lillard scored over 40 points in both games in Florida, so he becomes public enemy number one for the Pacers tonight.
