Plenty to do for Pacers fans during Opening Week

Pacers fans can celebrate the start of the NBA season this week.

The NBA tips off on Tuesday night with a high-profile double header before the Pacers begin their season on Wednesday night at the Fieldhouse. While the Pacers vs. Grizzlies matchup is the highlight of the team’s opening week festivities, there are other activities the organization is sponsoring to make sure everyone is in the spirit to cheer on the Blue and Gold.

Even on off days this week, the Pacers will keep you entertained. Here’s a look at what is going on starting on Tuesday.

TUESDAY, Oct. 16 and THURSDAY, Oct. 18 – The Pacers are conducting a city-wide scavenger hunt where Pacers goodie bags will be dropped at various locations throughout Central Indiana. Fans can look for clues on locales via Pacers social media outlets. Fleetwood Mac will also be in concert at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Oct. 16.

WEDNESDAY, Oct. 17 – The Pacers tip off the season versus the Memphis Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Fans are encouraged to come early to enjoy family-friendly activities, including the Pacers Pep Band, the Pacemates and the Hype Crew starting at 5:30 p.m. on the Simon Family Plaza on Pennsylvania Street. Fans 21 years of age and over can join the Budweiser & Jim Beam Bar Crawl starting at 5:00 p.m. at Scotty’s Brewhouse (downtown location).

FRIDAY, Oct. 19 – A viewing party will be held at Scotty’s Brewhouse (3905 East 96th St.) for the Pacers road game against the Milwaukee Bucks at 8:30 p.m. Giveaways, games and specials will be available along with appearances by the Pacemates and Pacers Hype Crew.

SATURDAY, Oct. 20 – The Pacers host the Brooklyn Nets at 7:00 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The day will start at 9:00 a.m. with the Inaugural Pacers 5K at the Fieldhouse featuring Larry Bird as the official starter of the race. Later in the day at 5:30 p.m., families can gather on the Simon Family Plaza to enjoy a DJ, games, prizes and plenty of activities. Fans 21 years of age and over can enjoy another Budweiser & Jim Beam Bar Crawl starting at 5:00 p.m. at Scotty’s Brewhouse (downtown location).
