The Pacers wrap up preseason play in Chicago where they will play the Bulls in a nationally televised practice game on ESPN.
The highlight of the final preseason game is the realization that the next game is for real and only one week away. As for the game tonight, the Pacers plan to play Thad Young after the forward sat out the first three preseason game with a bruised foot. This will give Nate McMillan a chance to run through his regular rotation, at least for a half with the exception of reserve guard Cory Joseph.
Of course, that just means CoJo’s minutes can go to Edmond Sumner who has been a pleasure to watch in the prior three games. Sumner has certainly taken advantage of the opportunity to show he fits on the floor.
As for the Bulls, they remain without second-year big man, Lauri Markkanen due to an elbow injury that will keep him out for a least a couple of weeks to start the season. The Bulls are building up some nice depth, though with young players new acquisition Jabari Parker along with Bobby Portis and Wendell Carter Jr. coming off the bench.
