Saturday is Basketball Day Indiana

The Pacers will cap off a full day of hoops action at the Fieldhouse on Saturday, which includes three high school games earlier in the day.

The Pacers, Fever, IHSAA and FOX Sports Indiana are teaming up to present Basketball Day Indiana once again this year starting with girls high school action at the Fieldhouse at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday.

The day will conclude with the Pacers hosting the Bulls at BLF, but there is plenty of action all day. After two girls games in the morning, BLF will host a boys game between New Albany and Silver Creek at 12:15 p.m. ET. That means Romeo Langford will be in the ‘House to continue his pursuit of Damon Bailey’s all-time scoring record. Best of all, there is no charge to take in the three high school games at the greatest hoops venue in the land.

FOX Sports Indiana will then broadcast a NFL Red Zone-esque “whip-around” to catch the action from Purdue’s women’s and men’s teams along with Butler hosting Seton Hall at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Valparaiso also gets into the act with their game against Southern Illinois at 4 p.m. ET.

High school hoops returns to FSI at 4:45 p.m. ET from the Pacers Athletic Center at Grand Park where Crispus Attucks will take on Broad Ripple. Attucks is the defending 3A state champs with high flyer Jamal Harris headlining their title defense. Harris rose up to put back the game-winner in the Tigers’ thrilling championship game last year.

Love this idea and really appreciate the Fieldhouse opening their doors for the high school games at no charge. But even if you can’t make to the Fieldhouse to watch the kids hoop, FSI will have it all covered.

Here is a look at the full schedule of hoops action as part of Basketball Day Indiana.
