NBA All-Star captains, LeBron James and Stephen Curry selected their respective teams on Thursday afternoon as the league tries out a new format to jumble the All-Stars from each conference.
Pacers star, Victor Oladipo was selected by Team LeBron for what will be a reunion with Russell Westbrook. There are a few other familiar combos getting together on Team LeBron with Kevin Durant also running with Westbrook, again. More surprisingly, LeBron selected former teammate Kyrie Irving to join he and Kevin Love.

The idea to select teams seemed to work quite well, at least on paper. Both teams look lethal and have a great balance of freakish length, athleticism and ability to go get buckets. Although, with Team Curry boasting Steph, James Harden and Klay Thompson the ball could be flying to the hoop from anywhere after they get past half court.
LeBron and Vic should get a good chuckle about teaming up for the Feb. 18 game when they face each other tonight as the Pacers close our their season series against the Cavs in Cleveland.
Sabonis in Rising Star Game
Domantas Sabonis will also take part in the All-Star weekend festivities as he plays in the Rising Stars game on Saturday for first and second-year players. Sabonis will represent the World team (and Lithuania) as one of ten players from nine different countries on the roster. He’s also one of five players on the World team that stands at least 6’10.
Oladipo had an interesting take on his teammate getting in on the action in Los Angeles.
