Heat vs. Pacers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

New, comments

The Pacers try to extend their winning streak to three games while also slowing down the surging Heat, winners of their last five games.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers return to action at the Fieldhouse on Wednesday when they host the Miami Heat for the third matchup between the two teams this season.

The teams split the earlier two games, both played in Miami including an impressive 120-95 win by the Pacers in the last meeting on Nov. 19. At that point, the Heat were a sub-.500 team but now arrive at the Fieldhouse in fourth place in the East, six games over .500. That status thanks to a last-second win on Tuesday night when the Raptors had a fatal breakdown on defense, leaving Wayne Ellington open for the game-winning layup in the waning seconds.

Miami's hard-fought win in Toronto should give the Pacers a schedule advantage since they had the day off. Unfortunately, the Pacers will likely be without starting center Myles Turner (elbow) who is doubtful to play. While Domas Sabonis is a strong substitute in the starting lineup, the Pacers have struggled with the ripple effects on the reserve unit after changing the playing rotation.
