Pacers injury update: Myles Turner doubtful for Heat, Domas Sabonis available

New, comments

The Pacers could face the Heat with an altered starting lineup

The Pacers pushed out to a big lead over the Bucks on Monday with relative ease although it was more painful than it looked. After establishing his defensive presence around the rim early, Myles Turner strained his right elbow on a first-quarter dunk which ended up limiting his effectiveness for the rest of the game.

Domantas Sabonis took a fall and hurt his left wrist which had him iced up after the game and in need of further evaluation.

As we’ve all seen, Victor Oladipo also took a hard fall which had him gingerly walking back to the bench after delivering a meme-worthy picture and gif on the floor.

As the Pacers prepare for another tough matchup against the Miami Heat on Wednesday, only Turner remains on the injury report, listed as doubtful. Turner didn’t go through the team’s full practice on Tuesday, instead lifting and doing some light shooting so it appears that doubtful is closer to “out” than “available.”

Sabonis and Oladipo did practice with the team and are expected to play against the Heat, which means Sabonis will likely start in place of Turner.
