The Pacers are left playing for pride when they face the Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon, down 0-3 in their opening round playoff series.
The anguish of missed opportunities that could have the series 2-1 in Indiana’s favor makes the 0-3 hole even more painful, but the Pacers will now just try to avoid a sweep and push the series back to Cleveland in one-game-at-a-time mode.
"Sunday's game will be a test of our character," McMillan said in the wake of the Game 3 collapse. "It just comes down to that. Who will show up and fight to win a game and try to extend this series, which is what I expect to happen. We know what we need to do to give ourselves a chance to win. But it's not a 24-minute game or 36-minute game, it's a 48-minute game. I expect to come out Sunday and lay it all on the line. It's do or die for us now."
No easy task when LeBron James will be stalking the court going for the kill.
