The Indiana Pacers fought harder than they’d fought in some time, but couldn’t come up with the necessary stops, falling just short of the Cleveland Cavaliers in double overtime, 135-130.

Paul George scored a season high 43 points with nine rebounds and nine assists, scoring 19 points in the overtime periods, but Cleveland was there to respond to every monstrous George shot in double overtime.

George hit five three pointers, as did C.J. Miles, who scored 27 points. Thaddeus Young had 19 and Jeff Teague had a 17 point, 11 assist double double. Unfortunately for the Pacers, LeBron James had a 41-point triple double, helping Cleveland to 18 three pointers, outshooting Indiana’s 16.

Lance Stephenson brought the expected energy in his return to the Pacers, scoring four points, dishing three assists, and pulling in three rebounds in 18 minutes. The Pacers drop to 37-40, but caught a break with Miami also losing, keeping them in a tie for 8th place.
