Myles Turner Scores 11 points in First Rising Stars Challenge Appearance

Indiana Pacers second-year man Myles Turner scored 11 points in his first NBA Rising Stars Challenge game Friday night.

In his first NBA Rising Star’s Challenge game, Pacers big-man Myles Turner did not fail to disappoint. Turner scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds through 18 minutes of play as Team World defeated Team USA 150-141 on Friday night.

Turner made more than half of his shooting attempts, going 5-of-8 from the floor on 62.5% shooting — with one of the made shots being a three-pointer. Amongst some of the standouts on Team USA included Frank Kaminsky (33 points), Karl-Anthony Towns (24), Devin Booker (17) and Jonathon Simmons (19).

Denver Nuggets rookie Jamal Murray’s game-high 36 points helped to lead Team World to the nine-point victory. Buddy Hield of the New Orleans Pelicans contributed 28 points for Team World in the winning effort.

The remaining Pacers to compete in events the remainder of the All-Star break are Glenn Robinson III and Paul George. Fans will have the opportunity to see ‘GR3’ showcase his athleticism in the Verizon Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night. George will serve as a reserve player in the 2017 All-Star game on Sunday evening.
