Knicks vs. Pacers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers return home for an extended stay, hunting for a win over the Knicks on Monday night.

Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers open a monster homestand at the Fieldhouse on Monday when they host the New York Knicks. This will be the first of six consecutive home games over the next 12 days.

The Knicks rallied to beat the Pacers in their first meeting in New York, in one of the few losses this year that the Pacers allowed the opponent to outwork them, particularly in the second half. The late fade saw the Pacers get outscored in the fourth quarter by 19 points before losing by seven points.

A heavy dose of Krsitaps Porzingis (40 points) on offense and rookie Frank Ntilikina on both ends, but in particular on defense simply did in the Pacers. In the rematch on Monday, the Knicks will be without Porzingis (ankle) while Ntilikina (ankle) is questionable. The Knicks will also be without their second leading scorer, Tim Hardaway, Jr. (left shin stress).

So, yeah, the Pacers are set up to get back on the winning track after losing a pair of road games in Houston and Toronto. The Pacers should be healthy, rested and ready to let 'er rip to even the season series against New York. That's important since it looks like the Knicks and Pacers will be among a group of teams battling for the last couple of playoff spots in the East. Never too early to consider tie breakers.
