Pacers vs. Pistons: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers won't be thinking about playoff implications in Detroit, but a win over the Pistons tonight in December could make a big difference in April.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers wrap up their season series with the Pistons on Tuesday in what could end up being a very important game for both teams.

The Pacers and Pistons are wheel-to-wheel in the Eastern Conference standings after Christmas so suddenly this final regular season matchup between the two teams has important tie breaker ramifications. Detroit leads the series 2-1 so the Pacers need to level the matchup to be able to put other tie breakers into play should the teams finish the season knotted in the East.

Both teams split their home games in the first two games, but Detroit seized control of the series by beating the Pacers at BLF on Dec. 15. Andre Drummond finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds including a couple of killer offensive rebounds late in the fourth quarter which helped hold of the Pacers.

The Pacers have won their last two games and should be rested and ready to roll in Detroit after a couple of days off before travelling to Detroit on Monday afternoon.
