Pacers vs. Hawks: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers look to bounce back with a win on the road in Atlanta.

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers return to play on the road in Atlanta when they face the Hawks on Wednesday night.

After letting a valuable W slip away against Boston on Monday, the Pacers are eager to earn another win and playing the Hawks gives them a great opportunity to do so. Atlanta enters the game with the worst record in the league, occasionally sprinkling in a win among stretches of losing so far.

Don't put that W in ink for the Pacers, though. As we saw against Chicago, human nature can turn an apparent sure thing into a problem. Plus, the Hawks did win their last game against Miami so, like the Bulls, they won't be rolling over for anyone.

But if any team shouldn't be taking ANY opponent for granted it is the Pacers. While the famous off night in Atlanta remains a concern, maybe the sense of urgency to get past the Boston loss will generate a strong start by the Pacers from the opening tip.
