The Pacers opened the season at home with a wild 140-131 win over the Nets which was our first sign this season may be more interesting than anticipated. Myles Turner led the way in game one with 21 points and 14 rebounds but took a shot to the head which put him in the concussion protocol and on the shelf for a few games. While the Pacers are a much different team than they were on opening night they will still try to push the pace and attack the Nets.
The Nets are different, as well and finding their stride while dealing with injury adversity. In the opener, D'Angelo Russell scored 30 to lead the Nets, but is now on the shelf after suffering a knee injury. After winning four of six games, the Nets have lost their last two as they play a smaller lineup which should present Turner another opportunity for a big night.
Regardless of who shows up big for the Pacers, they need a quality road effort after dropping their last two games at home.
