The Pacers hit the road on Wednesday to wrap up their season series with the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center.
This game will no doubt be a rough road test for the Pacers with fresh memories of the Rockets' 23-point win at the Fieldhouse a couple of weeks ago. In that game, Houston shot 47 (!) threes and generally dictated what would happen throughout by stretching the floor to create those 3PAs or easy buckets around the rim where they scored 46 points in the paint.
Oh, and that was without Chris Paul. Count me as one that watched James Harden run the show and couldn't see how adding CP3 to the mix would help the Rockets. Yeah, I was wrong. The Rockets have cruised to five consecutive wins with Paul back in the mix as Mike D'Antoni makes sure at least one of the two players is on the court during all meaningful minutes or until the W is wrapped up.
So the Pacers will try to improve on their last outing against the Rockets, but finding a way to win away from the Fieldhouse against the top team in the West will require a high level of execution, if not a little luck.
Five consecutive, 11 of last 12
