The Pacers begins a busy long weekend at the Fieldhouse when they host the Toronto Raptors on Friday evening.
The annual Friday after Thanksgiving game tips at 8 pm ET after the Circle "tree" lighting ceremony. The Pacers then play the Celtics on Saturday and then stretch the homestand to Monday when they host Orlando. As Pat Boylan points out, this begins a challenging stretch which will test the Pacers' quality play of late.
But enough looking ahead, the Pacers will have their hands full as usual with the Raptors who have, for the most part, kept the band together with a successful team that just hasn't gotten over the LeBron hump in the post-season. Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and Jonas Valanciunas are all still problems to deal with along with veteran PF Serge Ibaka.
Former Hoosier, OG Anunoby is off to a solid rookie year and has started several games for the Raps. His versatile game has fit well in a supporting role next to DeRozan on the wing.
The Pacers have had three full days off so should be as healthy and rested as they have been all season to date. They will need to be for a strong test in front of what should be a lively holiday crowd at BLF.
