Rumors of a signature sneaker for Paul George have been floating around since August, but it wasn’t until today that Nike unveiled the PG1 2K.

As visible in Heidi Burgett’s tweet, the shoe does not lack in style. Among its distinctive features are a lace lock to represent a fishing bob; a nod to George’s love for fishing, but also features George in the sockliner. The shoe is not only stylish, but still has many performance features according to Nike:
Since its announcement, the shoe has received high praise on social media, including an excited crowd at the House of Hoops Brixton with George.
A release date hasn’t been announced, but George will debut the shoe on the floor when the Indiana Pacers face the Denver Nuggets in London on Thursday.
