The Pacers were oozing energy and effort in Minnesota on Thursday night and left the Target Center with a quality road win, similar to the feeling they had ten days earlier when they left Sacramento after rallying to beat the Kings, 106-100.
The Pacers now face the Kings at home on Friday night which should help diminish the impact of the bad half of a back-to-back. Regardless, that energy and effort delivered in Minny will have to surface, again. Maybe the Hickory Pacers uniforms will help as the team honors the mid-’60s Washington High School powerhouse teams.
The Kings will be playing the fifth game of an eight-game roadie which started with three losses, but has improved since with wins over the Pistons and Cavaliers before heading to Indy.
The Kings remain without Rudy Gay who injured his leg against the Pacers. Monta Ellis and Aaron Brooks both played off the bench in Minnesota, but Rodney Stuckey remains out. Kevin Seraphin is also questionable with a sore knee.
