Orlando Pro Summer League Game Thread: Indiana Pacers vs. Detroit Pistons

New, comments

After resting on the Fourth of July, the Pacers will alter their starting lineup when they play the Pistons in Orlando. The game will be aired later in the evening on NBA TV

The 1-1 Summer Pacers return to action on Tuesday when they take on the 2-0 Summer Pistons.

According to Nate Taylor, Shayne Whittington will slide into the starting lineup in place of Rakeem Christmas. Also, Joe Young is feeling better and expects to play after getting drilled on a fantastic dunk in the first game on Saturday and trying to hobble through the second game.

Rookie Georges Niang has been worth the watch so far, even when he's shown his rookie shortcomings. After a nice debut with 17 points on eight shots, 12 rebounds and five assists, Niang struggled against the Summer Hornets with six points and five rebounds, but seven fouls and four turnovers.

The Pistons are led by Stanley Johnson, coming off a solid rookie campaign, and first-round pick Henry Ellenson out of Marquette.

The game tips at 5 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live online on ESPN3 but won't be broadcast on NBA TV until 9 p.m. ET.
