The first round was dominated by big guys with unfamiliar names along with a few reaches late in the lottery including Thon Maker, Domantas Sabonis and Taurean Prince.
All three of those players were considered possibilities for the Pacers at No. 20 prior to the draft, although none would be capable of making an impact in the starting lineup for a couple of years.
Speaking of reaches, the Nets used the Pacers pick to select Caris Levert from Michigan. Levert has plenty of skill but injury concerns had him projected to fall out of the first round in many mock drafts. At least the Pacers hat went well with the crazy maize and blue suit Levert wore to the draft.
As the second round continues there are plenty of familiar names remaining on the board so now we wait to see who will be available for the Pacers at No. 50.
