The Pacers face another short-handed opponent on Sunday when the Brooklyn Nets visit the Fieldhouse.
The Pacers say they are trying to prepare for the playoffs but their uneven and at times, befuddling performance of late tells a different story. On Sunday, they can avenge one of those recent head-scratching efforts against the Nets after dropping a game in Brooklyn a couple of weeks ago
In that game, Brook Lopez overwhelmed the Pacers down the stretch and secured the win for the Nets. Since that nightmare, the Nets have shut down Lopez for the season and also won't have forward Thaddeus Young. At this point, the names on the other jerseys don't really matter as the Pacers continue to battle themselves to be the type of team they think they can be.
