Pacers vs. Mavericks: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers begin back-to-back road games with a matinee matchup against the Mavericks on Saturday.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers have a rough back-to-back on the road starting Saturday in Dallas and then Sunday at Atlanta. However, an afternoon tip time in Dallas (1 p.m. CT local time) will at least give the Pacers a few extra hours to handle the travel and game prep for the Hawks.

First, they must deal with the Mavs. While the Pacers have won their last two games, the Mavs have lost four consecutive, including the last two at home. That fact, combined with Rick Carlisle having two days off to address the known issues, should create a hostile environment for the Pacers at the American Airlines Center.

In their first meeting at the Fieldhouse on Dec. 16, the Pacers blew open a tight game through two quarters by outscoring the Mavs 62-34 in the second half for a 107-81 win. The bench came up big with 45 points, led by 20 from C.J. Miles.

Miles is expected back in the rotation after missing a couple of weeks with a calf injury. Improved health and the addition of Ty Lawson should give the Pacers their first chance to give Frank Vogel the full playing rotation at his disposal.
