The Pacers went into their Friday game against Charlotte riding a three-wins-in-four-games stretch. They left the Fieldhouse on Sunday night riding a three-losses-in-three-games stretch after losing to the Hornets and then the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday evening.

Both Charlotte and Portland mad the Pacers 'big' lineup look, well, big by spreading them out and cashing in three-point shots at an alarming rate. The Pacers had their moments, made their runs but when the either opponent needed a bucket, they had guards ready to create quality scoring opportunities. The Pacers, still struggle finding the right go-to-guy from game-to-game. Maybe because that hot hand down the stretch changes so often.

Paul George lamented the team's lack of toughness after the loss to Portland.

"We don't have no toughness," he said. "There's no toughness. You look at playoff teams one through eight, that's one thing every team has in common. That's what we've got to find."

Was he referring to the team's physical or mental toughness? If you have to ask, the answer is both.

What toughness the Pacers have will be tested fully over the next eight days as they hit the road for four games starting tonight in Cleveland against the Cavs who have lost two consecutive games and rested LeBron James last night.

From Cleveland the Pacers play at Milwaukee on Wednesday and then have another back-to-back in Charlotte on Friday and Washington on Saturday. After returning home, the Pacers face the San Antonio Spurs at home next Monday. That's a rough five-game stretch in eight days for the toughest of teams.

So how will the Pacers respond?
