Hornets vs. Pacers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Pacers wrap up pre-All-Star play on Wednesday night when they host the Charlotte Hornets at the Fieldhouse.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers resume their homestand on Wednesday night when they host the Charlotte Hornets before heading into the All-Star break.

The Pacers won their last two games at home although the struggles to finish off the Lakers on Monday took a little shine off of that W. Regardless, a day off at home after a win should have the Pacers in prime shape to take on the Hornets, especially with nine days off following the game. In other words, NO EXCUSES for putting forth anything but a quality effort. While execution is often a bigger problem than effort for the Pacers, getting both the mental and physical efforts firing on all cylinders would be a nice way to go into the break.

As for the Hornets, they recently bumped their record to .500 by winning four of their last five games. Knee surgery has Al Jefferson on the shelf but former IU/Washington Hatchet Cody Zeller has filled in well of late in the middle. But the backcourt duo of Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum are where the real problem lies for the Pacers. Both are healthy and make for a dangerous duo for the Blue and Gold to deal with on Wednesday.
