On the off-day travel pod this morning, the hope for good health is a topic of discussion. Nate McMillan wants his team to continually take strides forward but had to admit they took another step backward by getting run off the floor in Portland.
I also discuss this One Team, Three Stats article by John Schuhmann which looks at Myles Turner’s mid-range prowess along with the team’s shooting trends which ultimately lead to inefficient scoring.
Also, the Pacers have a high ball-screen usage rate which is explained and also reveals itself as another area the Pacers aren’t real efficient cashing in points. And it is no surprise the reserve rotation’s impact on the game is near the bottom of the league.
Those are all areas to revisit as the season goes on to see what kind of progress the Pacers are making as they now close in on the end of the first quarter of the season.
The pod is available via iTunes so please subscribe and leave a nice review. You can also listen on Stitcher, TunneIn, and Google Play or via Audioboom below.
