The Pacers wiped out a worn out Bulls team on Saturday night to reverse a similar situation the week before when the Pacers were beaten soundly at the UC on a back-to-back.
Regardless of the circumstances, the Pacers had to play well to take advantage of the Bulls and make them roll over early and they did just that with an improved defensive effort overall. Paul George was ejected to end his night early, but talked about what he liked from the defense.
Looking ahead to the Hornets, we learn that Charlotte is 4-1 although their schedule strength hasn’t been too strong. They have also struggled in the first half of games before turning it on in the third quarter. That sounds like the opposite formula the Pacers have used in a few of their early games, so dialing in on that third quarter effort will be critical. Thanks to Doug Branson from Locked on Hornets for the inside info on the Hornets.
