The Pacers haven't allowed more than 100 points in their past three games, but that streak will get a severe test when they face the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
The bad news is that the Blazers score almost 110 points per game with an offensive efficiency among the top ten in the NBA. The good news is that the Blazers' defense is dead last in defensive efficiency.
Of course, the Pacers have shown an ability to score easily and defend but also struggle to find easy buckets and stop opponents -- all within the past week! Nate McMillan doesn't want the team to take a step back after their past two performances which would appear to be just what they need to beat the Blazers.
But that hunt for an identity they can rely on remains a crap shoot from game-to-game, so here's to a strong start on the road to avoid going off the rails and into a ditch before the road really gets rough.
