For the second year in a row, the Pacers pulled off an improbable win on the road in OKC and man, was it fun to watch.
Throughout all 48 minutes and then the additional five minutes played in OT, it was hard not to expect the other shoe to drop in the form of Russell Westbrook, taking over and destroying a fantastic, shorthanded road effort from the Pacers.
But in the end, the Thunder didn’t have enough for the Pacers and Jeff Teague who led the way with Thad Young, Glenn Robinson III and the rest of the cast willingly following on their way to the first road win of the season.
Did we mention that Paul George and C.J. Miles and their 35-plus points per game were not available? Yes, this was a quality team win that will help fortify the team chemistry which remains a work in progress.
For their efforts, the still-shorthanded Pacers get to take on the Golden State Warriors who spent the day relaxing in Indy waiting for their matchup with the Pacers at the Fieldhouse.
