Pacers vs. Bulls: Preseason game thread, lineups and more

Preseason play continues at the UC on Saturday night.

NBA: Preseason-Chicago Bulls at Indiana Pacers Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers made scoring points look easy in their last game against the Bulls on Wednesday but stopping Chicago at the other end was more of a struggle.

Indiana will continue working on the defensive side of things along with taking care of the basketball better when the two teams meet on Saturday at the United Center.

The Pacers gave up 22 points due to 20 turnovers on Thursday which are numbers that drive Nate McMillan crazy. Scoring and defense will be more of a challenge this time around without Paul George on the floor as he takes the night off. Glenn Robinson III is expected to start in place of PG which helps keep the reserve unit together. The Third will try to build on a solid showing Thursday when he scored 17 points with five rebounds and two steals.

The Pacers will welcome Myles Turner to the starting lineup for the first time since he’s been recovering from a concussion suffered just prior to the start of training camp. Aaron Brooks will also make his preseason debut in a reserve role after a sore hip kept him out of the first two games.

This game will not be televised locally but the Bulls broadcast feed should be available for the Internet adventurers. As always, Mark Boyle will have the radio call to create HD visuals of the action.
