The Pacers face the Bulls again on Saturday night in a preseason rematch at the United Center. The Pacers won the first game at the Fieldhouse on Thursday, 115-108 without starting center Myles Turner.
Turner has been limited during preseason camp while going through the NBA concussion protocol, missing several practices and the first two preseason games. On Saturday, Turner will return to game action at the UC as he begins working on his game shape while playing next to Thaddeus Young and Jeff Teague for the first time.
According to reports from BLF, Paul George will sit out on Saturday as a healthy scratch as the team monitors his rest throughout camp. PG scored seven points with six rebounds in 24 minutes on Thursday.
C.J. Miles sat out Thursday to rest a sore left knee and is expected to sit out again in Chicago.
Reserve point guard, Aaron Brooks will also make his preseason debut with the Pacers after missing the first two games with a sore hip.
Turner has no concerns about any lingering effects from the concussion saying he feels fine and is ready to get his game rhythm and game legs back. He’s also looking forward to joining the fast pace fray the Pacers have displayed in the first two games.
"We have a fast group," Turner said. "That first group is going to be real fast and we can get out of the gates quick. I'm a big who likes to run as well, so I know we're going to push the pace even more than we're doing now."
