The Pacers are in Brooklyn to take on the Nets Friday night at Barclays Center.
In game two of the season, we already get a chance to see how the Pacers can handle a potential emotional letdown after delivering an overtime win at home on Wednesday. It is easy to remember the Pacers loss in Brooklyn last March which added stress to the playoff race.
High hopes for the season rely on taking care of business in these types of games. Also, on an individual level, we will see how Myles Turner shows up after basking in two days’ worth of heavy praise after bellowing his presence as a premier young player ready to impact the league.
There are still issues to sort out with the reserve unit and the Pacers may have Aaron Brooks available for some point guard minutes which should help. Also, with Luis Scola listed as a backup center, some patience may be in order to let Al Jefferson go to work during his time on the court.
