Pacers Podcast: Pacers win home opener with monster game by Myles Turner

On the latest Locked on Pacers episode, we celebrate the Pacers first win where scoring points was not a problem, but the Pacers needed overtime to get past the Mavericks on opening night.

The Pacers unleashed their fast paced attack on opening night but couldn’t shake the Mavericks until making several big shots in overtime.

That sinking feeling settled in among the Fieldhouse faithful when Harrison Barnes hit a three to tie the game after the Paces led nearly the whole game. After going 1-7 in overtime last season, you can understand fans fretting over the extra time.

But this time was different. Not only did the Pacers earn a 130-121 win in OT, but they delivered some of the best moments of the game. Once Paul George took over playmaking duties, he teamed with Myles Turner to deliver the W.

The game was far from flawless but working on issues is much more pleasant with a 1 in the W column.
