The latest Locked on Pacers podcast hits on Nate McMillan’s coaching style, offensive options and Paul George’s perceived value.

The Pacers are in Milwaukee ready to wrap up preseason practice games against the Bucks on Wednesday. Before leaving Indy on Tuesday we heard from Nate McMillan, Paul George and Monta Ellis after practice.

McMillan shared some preseason concerns and also how he’s adjusting to his role as head coach after a few years as an assistant. He has changed his approach to delegating coaching duties compared to how he ended his last job in Portland.

Paul George and Monta Ellis explained how the spread offense they are running differs from past seasons and how they are set up to attack on the run before running any plays.

Also, among the thoughts on the NBA GM survey, which didn’t include Paul George among the top defenders in the league, is the open question of how much other front office decision-makers value Paul George. Is there a big market for him as a max player?
