The Pacers have struggled to close out wins of late whether at home or on the road.
On Friday against the Warriors, the Pacers will be doing well to be in position to win in the fourth quarter regardless of how they ultimately finish. Sad as that sounds, after watching Golden State in their last two games, that's about all of the positive mojo I can muster for this one.
The Warriors arrive home to their raucous and adoring crowd on the heels of those two monster efforts which essentially de-pants the Cavs and Bulls. Now the Pacers will try to avoid that fate on the late ESPN national broadcast. To add to the GSW motivation, Steve Kerr returns to assume his head coaching duties for the first time this season.
While the Warriors are back to full strength both on the court and sidelines, the Pacers remain short-handed. Rodney Stuckey (foot), Ian Mahinmi (ankle) and George Hill (personal reasons) will all be out, which will put Myles Turner, Glenn Robinson III and Joe Young in the spotlight to further test their solid play earlier in the week.
Considering all of the above, you may want to keep your favorite beverage handy.
