The Pacers face the Nuggets on the road Sunday evening, but they shouldn't face a hostile crowd at the Pepsi Center. At least at the start of the game.
When the Pacers and Nuggs tip, the Broncos and Steelers will be finishing up their NFL Divisional Playoff game across the parking lot at the new Mile High Stadium less than a mile away. All the juice in town will be focused on the football game. Of course, if Peyton Manning can guide the Broncs to a win, the Pepsi Center may catch a late-arriving crowd in the mood to celebrate and cheer on the Nuggets which would be entertaining, no doubt.
The Pacers need some juice regardless of the source after a sour effort at home on Friday night. Rodney Stuckey remains out and Ian Mahinmi (ankle) and Paul George (leg) joined Stuck on the injury report on Saturday. While Mahinmi is questionable, PG is probable and expected to play.
The Nuggets have shown flashes of improving, highlighted by a home win over Golden State last week. Former HSE star, Gary Harris has settled into the starting lineup, averaging 11 points per game for Denver.
