Back in early November, the Pacers beat the Celtics on the second night of back-to-back games, but that game was at the Fieldhouse.
On Wednesday, the Pacers will try to win on the road in Boston after beating the Suns last night at the Fieldhouse. The Pacers are 0-3 this year in similar situations but do have some factors working in their favor.
For starters, the Celtics also played last night, losing to the Knicks at MSG, and are struggling. The loss was the C's fourth in a row and sixth in their last seven games.
Also, energy should not be an issue since the Pacers will be wearing their Hickory uniforms and playing before a national audience on ESPN at TD Garden. If that doesn't get them hyped to work through the back-to-back strain then it won't ever happen.
The Celtics will present a problem as a team desperate to win. Yes, they have lost six of seven, but none of those losses was by more than 10 points. No doubt, Brad Stevens will have his crew ready to compete so the Pacers will have to add some execution to the effort if they want to secure the W.
