Paul George enjoys taking part in Indy 500 festivities

Paul George stood tall among the other stars on hand at IMS for the Indy 500 on Sunday. The Pacers star took part in the festivities by helping deliver the green flag to the track.

The Pacers missed out on the playoffs this year which means we all missed out on Racers and Pacers in Indy during May. Instead Paul George took advantage of his early offseason to take part in the festivities at the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

PG joined Colts punter Pat McAfee and Riley patient Tori Gwyn to helicopter into the track with the official race green flag and then drive around the track to deliver the starting flag to the honorary starter, actor Patrick Dempsey. Fortunately, PG captured the experience and shared the highlights via Instagram.

On a side note, Pacers forward Luis Scola also took in the race. Actually, Scola is a free agent, but with the way he's been seen around town over the past month, it sure seems like he and the Pacers are going to try to keep him in town for next season.
