The Indiana Pacers are a half game behind the Charlotte Hornets as the two teams prepare to meet at the Fieldhouse on Friday night. More importantly, they are two games out of the playoffs with two additional teams in the way.
So while technically, the loser of this game won't be eliminated from the playoffs, the loser of this game can officially put away their playoff thinking caps. That goes double for the Pacers since they are at home where they will have just three more games before the end of the season.
At this point, losing and winning have comparable silver linings with regard to either the playoffs or draft. The Pacers may add some intrigue over the last two weeks of the season if Paul George returns, but he has been ruled out for Friday. Rodney Stuckey is questionable again, with a wrist injury. For the Hornets, both Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) and local legend, Cody Zeller (shoulder) are out.
The only remaining question: Will Lance play for the Hornets?
