The Pacers remain one game out of the playoffs in the East but their focus is solely on winning one game at this point. After losing six straight, talking about the playoffs seems foolish.
Winning a game on the road against a quality opponent would be a nice first step back toward considering life in the post-season this year. Washington always presents plenty of problems for the Pacers as we learned in the playoffs last year, but they don't enter the game in great shape, either.
The Wiz will be happy to be home after a 1-3 roadie out West which has them on a three-game losing streak after double-digit losses to the Clippers, Kings and Warriors. Washington has been streaky like the Pacers, since late January with losing streaks of five and six games along with a winning five consecutive before hitting the current three game skid.
The first game at home after a long road trip is never easy but the Pacers actually have to make it tough on the Wiz, and Indiana's ability to impose their will on opponents has been absent of late.
