Spurs vs. Pacers: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Spurs always present a challenge for the Pacers but their annual visit to the Fieldhouse includes some additional motivation.

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers have their hands full on Monday night when they host a motivated San Antonio Spurs team, looking to lock up win 1,000 for Coach Gregg Popovich.

After coming out flat in the second half last night in Toronto, Coach Pop is stuck at 999 win while the team is prepping for game two of nine on the rodeo road trip (which isn't as bad this year with the extended All-Star break in the middle). Still, neither the coach nor players want to discuss the all-time wins number and until they hit the mark it will be topic on every stop. Also, considering Coach Pop is a Hoosier native, setting the mark in his home state would be...something.

The Pacers should be motivated, as well after sneaking out of Charlotte with a win last night. While Indiana's health and play continue to improve, they are still not at full strength. Lavoy Allen is out tonight with continuing knee issues while Ian Mahinmi (ankle) is at least questionable in his effort to return. Shoring up that front-court depth would be nice.
