The Pacers try to continue building momentum heading into the All-Star break after winning their last two games when the face the Hornets on the road. Charlotte has been playing without Kemba Walker of late but were rolling along nicely, winning four of their last five games before dumping a loss in Philadelphia on Saturday night.
So once again, the Pacers catch an opponent on the back half of a back-to-back, as they play the first of two in a row. Prior to the Cleveland game, I though finishing 2-2 before the break would be a good mark to keep the Pacers moving in the right direction. After the strong finish against the Cavs, raising the expectations to 3-1 seems appropriate. The remaining three (Charlotte, San Antonio, @New Orleans) aren't easy, but the Pacers stumbled through their easy stretch so with better health now, they have to play the cards their dealt.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist left early in Charlotte's loss last night with a hamstring injury, so he may not be available tonight. Likely would mean Jeff Taylor starts in his spot. Oh, yeah, Lance Stephenson will get minutes off the bench.
For more on the Hornets, check out At The Hive, please add your thoughts and observations in the game thread which can get started early to enjoy the big slate of NBA games prior to the Pacers tipping off.
