A number of big nights from unexpected players led the Indiana Pacers to a quality victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Indiana led by double figures, but managed to withstand a late Atlanta run thanks to big rebounds from Ian Mahinmi, who had 13 points and nine rebounds, including five offensive. The biggest boost came from Solomon Hill, who stepped in from the injured C.J. Miles, who had a season high 10 points with a pair of steals.

Monta Ellis led the Pacers with 26 points, hitting a season high four three pointers. Indiana's defense was in prime form, using a 31-13 second quarter to build a double digit halftime lead. Indiana forced 22 turnovers, resulting in 26 Indiana points. They had 16 steals on the night, led by George Hill with four. Chase Budinger also reached double figures with 10 points as Indiana snaps Atlanta's six-game winning streak.
