After hanging out for a couple of days in Los Angeles, the Pacers begin a tough back-to-back on Wednesday when they return to Staples Center to play the Clippers.
Since the Pacers last played on Sunday, Paul George was named player of the week in the Eastern Conference. Frank Vogel was jobbed out of a being named coach of the month, which we can blame on the 0-2 start in October which is taken into account for the first monthly awards. Hopefully, this won't be the Pacers' best month and Vogel will be earn his due.
No all of the Pacers spent their off days lounging in L.A. Paul George and Joe Young went up to Eugene, OR to watch their respective colleges do battle on the court. Oregon beat Fresno State on Monday, 78-73.
Among the links today is an interesting Frank Vogel interview with Chris Mannix from SI.com. Mannix was a ball boy for the Celtics when Vogel was on the coaching staff so the two have a history that brings out some good stuff, including Vogel's conversations with Red Auerbach and a 17-hour flight next to Larry Bird before he was the head coach.
Oh, and don't miss the D-League dunk by Orlando Johnson. Ouch!
