The Pacers will have some interesting matchup options when they host the Mavericks on Wednesday night.
The Mavs boast a big front court with Dirk Nowitzki and Zaza Pachulia, but Dirk can step outside to play "small" or do work against a smaller defender closer to the hoop. The Mavs also have four players 6'3 or under in the rotation including starters Deron Williams and Raymond Felton. So the Pacers spread lineup may leave them with a size advantage aside from the Dirk matchup.
With the healthy return of Chandler Parsons, I wondered why the Mavs still start Williams, Felton and Wes Matthews and fortunately, Mavs Money ball had the answer. They work better together.
With Paul George feeling under the weather, Monta Ellis may need to step up his scoring production again as he faces his most recent former team. Ellis didn't exactly sound healthy following the win on Monday but by now maybe his congestion has improved.
