The Pacers host another high-profile opponent at the Fieldhouse on Friday when the Miami Heat visit to play before an ESPN national audience.
Both teams have been among the top teams in the East over the first quarter of the season but recent losses has drawn both back to the middle of the pack. Actually, there is no middle of the pack among Eastern Conference playoff teams considering the top eight teams are currently within 1.5 games of each other.
The Heat and Pacers are among three teams at 12-8 and looking to gain some traction to finish December like they ended November. The Pacers are out of excuses after returning from the road and then facing the Golden State Warriors. With two full days to prepare for the Heat, the Blue and Gold should be primed and ready to put their best game on display.
