The Pacers put their current winning streak to the test against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon. The Blue and Gold will try to build on their three-game win streak without key reserve, Rodney Stuckey (ankle). C.J. Miles (ankle) appears ready to give it a go after missing a couple of games.
LeBron James is questionable for the game but expected to play. Kyrie Irving, Iman Shumpert are out and J.R. Smith likely won't play either. The Cavs still present a problem with LeBron and Kevin Love capable of killing the Pacers on the boards. If Lavoy Allen starts, the Pacers should hold their own but rebounding continues to take a ton of effort for the Pacers to just keep their head above water.
The matinee start this early in the season, when much of the sports world is focused on NFL football (oh, and the Colts playing some former quarterback people seem to love), creates a different dynamic than the Pacers enjoyed on Friday when the Heat and bright lights of an ESPN national game added some juice to the Fieldhouse.
Paul George likes the bright lights and responded accordingly on Friday. He'll need a LeBron matchup to get amped today as he faces an opportunity to deliver an elite performance even when the circumstances don't generate much excitement. That's what elite players, which PG aspires to be, do.
